Practice with help — words blank progressively so recall does the work

Perform with less help — a safety net you can shrink show by show

    Why It Matters

    Your Best Shows Happen Eyes-Up

The iPad has earned its place — it's how working musicians cover huge catalogs without missing a beat. But the moments that move a room happen when you're locked in with the audience, not the screen. Lyricorize is the bridge: a system designed to make itself less necessary every week.

    Where Most Gigs Are Today

    • Lyric sheets and tablets covering the whole set
    • Glances down for sections you almost have memorized
    • New songs every week with no time to truly learn them
    • Wanting more eye contact, but no plan to get there

    Where Lyricorize Takes You

    • Practice with progressive blanking — recall built-in
    • Perform with adjustable support that shrinks each week
    • A clear path from new song → memorized → eyes-up
    • More presence with the audience, less time on the screen

Switching from Lyric sheets & printouts?

Get lost, get wet, can't update. No memorization help.

Switching from Notes app or Google Docs?

Just text on a screen. No blanking, no sections, no practice system.

    Switching from Static teleprompters?

Keeps you reading forever. Doesn't help you actually learn the words.

Lyricorize replaces all of these with a single system that helps you actually memorize.

    Not Another Lyric Viewer

    Built to Make Itself Unnecessary

Most lyric apps are passive — they show you words. Lyricorize is active. It teaches you the song, then helps you let go of the screen one performance at a time.

    Practice with help

Smart blanking trains real recall — not pattern memorization.

    Perform with less help

Choose your support level: full lyrics, first words, or section cues only.

    Need less every week

Designed so you depend on it less, not more. The goal is your stage presence.

    Why Lyricorize Is Different

    Lyrics Apps Help You Read.
    Lyricorize Helps You Remember.

The tools you already use — chart apps, PDF readers, songbooks, teleprompters — are great at one thing: showing you words. Lyricorize is built around a different job: helping you need those words less, every time you take the stage.

    PDF & chart readers

Show your sheet music on a tablet.

    Setlist & songbook apps

    Organize and display your catalog.

    Teleprompter apps

Scroll lyrics past your eyes on stage.

    Lyricorize

Trains recall, then shrinks support show by show.

Use Lyricorize alongside the tools you already love. It's not here to replace your charts — it's here to help you depend on them less.

    The System

    Practice. Perform. Memorize.

Three steps designed to wean you off the screen — until you don't need it at all.

    Step 1

    Practice

Words disappear from your lyrics. You fill in the gaps from memory — not from reading. Start easy at 10% and push toward total recall.

    • Adjustable blanking (10% → 100%)
    • Focus on the sections you struggle with
    • New blanks every session — no pattern memorization
    Step 2

    Perform

A stage-ready display with multiple layout modes — scroll, cards, or static multi-column view. Choose how much support you see, adjust font size, and let auto-maximize fill your screen for maximum readability.

    • 3 display layouts: Scroll, Cards, and Static
    • Adjustable support that shrinks as you improve
    • Autoscroll, swipe navigation, and per-song settings
    The Goal

    Memorize

Each session, you need less help. Increase blanking, lower your support level, and eventually step on stage knowing every word. That's being Lyricorized.

    Screen dependence over time

    Less help needed each session

    Adjustable Support

A Safety Net That Shrinks as You Improve

Start with full lyrics. Reduce to first words, then section cues, then nothing. You control how much support you see — and the goal is always less.

    Designed to Be Outgrown

The goal is to stop needing Lyricorize. A tool that makes itself unnecessary is doing its job.

    Built for Real Venues

Works on any device, any screen size, online or offline. Designed for stages, not just desktops.

    Made by Performers

Built from real experience preparing for gigs, rehearsals, and worship sets. Not a generic SaaS experiment.

    Common Questions

Is this just another lyrics viewer?

No. Lyrics viewers display text for you to read. Lyricorize trains you to not need the text. Smart blanking hides words so you build recall. Support levels let you gradually reduce help. The goal is memorization — not dependence on a screen.

Do I have to use it live on stage?

Not at all. Many users only use Practice Mode for rehearsal and never bring it on stage. Perform Mode is there if you want a safety net during shows — but the real value is in the practice system that trains your memory.

    Does it work on mobile?

Yes. Lyricorize is mobile-first and works on any screen size. Practice in the car, backstage, or at home. Perform Mode is optimized for one-handed use on stage. It also works offline once your songs are synced.

Can I just use it for rehearsal?

Absolutely. The practice engine is the core of the product. Use it to test yourself on lyrics, build recall with progressive blanking, and focus on the sections you struggle with. You don't need to use Perform Mode at all.

What makes it different from a notes app or teleprompter?

A notes app just shows text — it doesn't help you learn it. A teleprompter keeps you reading forever. Lyricorize is a memorization system: it hides words, tests your recall, tracks your sections, and gives you a safety net that shrinks over time. The goal is to not need any of them.
